My DVD has played fine on two different laptops but effected the following two audio irregularities on two different tabletop DVD players ...

One tabletop player completely mutes the audio while another plays the audio track under a continuous high-pitched tone.

The DVD was edited and authored on "MPEG Video Wizard DVD" and burned using "ImgBurn."

How can I correct these audio problems?

    Thanks.

  2. what audio format did you create on the dvd? if it was dts you might not have a decoder in the settop players. use mediainfo or gspot to check the vobs.

If your movies have audio in more than one format, try selecting one of the other audio tracks. As the previous reply says, not all players will have all codecs. Some players will only support AC3 (and MP2 in Europe) -- as that's spec-compliant -- so if you are trying to play vids with audio tracks in DTS, you can get problems. If the source was a commercially-authored DVD (I know you edited and authored it, but you didn't say specifically whether you also shot it), you should have at least one track in AC3, so give that a try if it's an option.
