    Which one is better? I am going to use it on Samsung DVD R120 Recorder.

    Both are fine.
    Verbatim are MCC from Taiwan.
    Maxell are MXL or MAXELL from Japan.

    Just avoid maxell made in Taiwan. Maxell made in Japan are great.

    Maxell DVD-R discs are GREAT but only the packages that say MADE IN JAPAN which are rather difficult to find these days.

    The Maxell DVD-R packages that say MADE IN TAIWAN are utter crap.

    Unfortunatly, I have the Maxell DVD-R packages that say MADE IN TAIWAN. I have not opened it so I can return it and try to get either Verbaitem, TDK or Sony
