I knew it was going to take a while to get an RMA for my old DVD player so today I went out and bought teh Apex mentioned above. I though that at best all I would be able to play was DVDs because I though " A DVD for under $100 and from K-Mart to boot. Give me a break." I wasn't at all impressed by the mere appearance of it. Reminded me of my homemade MP3 player. I took it home and was ready to have my point proven. Man was I wrong! This thing has been chewing up anything I've thrown at it including some cheapo CDRs that my other player wouldn't recognize at all.
The quality isn't as good but I was impressed that ther was no hint of macroblock at all
