I have an RJtech1500 (the original, not version II). For the first time ever, I tried out the karaoke function. When I play a CD+G without the karaoke function set on, the CD+G plays smoothly. However, as soon as I put the karaoke function on, the CD+G starts to randomly skip or pause every 7-10 seconds through the song. In other words, it plays a little choppy.

Does anyone have an original rjtech 1500 (or other model) with the same problem? Were you able to fix it somehow?

Also, if you have a newer model, how does it play? I am interested in getting into the latest version and saw a deal on the rj1800dvx.

Does anyone have the rj1800dvx? Does the karaoke work well?

  2. HI:

I have the RJtech1500 II for almost 3 years now. But a couple of weeks ago it began to show a malfunction on audio. Everything (and I mean everything, from original DVDs and CDs to MP3, VCDs, DivX, etc) sounds like a ruined speaker. I changed the TV set (so TV speakers are ok), the cables (diff. cables, so cables are ok), the connections (from the recommend stereo RCA connection to front speakers RCA connection, etc). Sounds got crappy anyway you connect teh device.
I do not know what it could be. Maybe a simple thing, maybe the audio chip is corrupted.
Anybody out there have a clue?
To send the machine to a Service Agent is not an option since to buy another machine will cost the same.

And for blackrain2008: Sorry, I never tried the Karaoke function. Where you can get those CD+G?.
