  1. I've spent a lot of time looking at DVD recorders and I've decided to take the plunge. I can get a good deal (today only) on the Panasonic DMR-ES20S. However, there's a couple of issues that I'm not sure about, and not just with the Panasonic.
    1) I've recorded quite a few DVD+R's on my computer (using Memorex DVD's) and wondered if it's a given they'll play on the Panasonic or any other recorder which is supposed to play DVD+R?
    2) Likewise, if I record something on a DVD-RW on the recorder, can I assume that I can then edit it on my PC?

Basically, my DVD burner will burn DVD+/-R and DVD+/-RW. I've looked at some other DVD recorders (like JVC DR-M100S), but it's a bit out of my price range and the specs don't include playing DVD+R's (according to their website). Unfortunately, I can't go try out my DVD's at a store due to where I live. I'd appreciate any help, as this Panasonic offer is too good to pass up (under $150) today. Thanks.

  2. It is hard to answer your first question because Memorex is not a manufacturer of media. They put their label on media made by others which can range from good to poor. Click on the DVD Media tab to your left and then type in Memorex to see the ratings.

Yes, dvd-rw's can be edited on your computer.
