    for those multiformat dvd players that plays divx. If you have divx files and burn them to a disc what media would you burn it to. Would it be a dvd or cd. Anyone know anything about this. Thanx All.

    I don't have one but I've heard you can do either without a problem.

    I can only speak for the one I have the Philips dvp-642. The book says cd but it accepts divx on both types of discs. I burn my dvd as either iso or iso/udf.

    Look up your player in the DVD Players link to your left. Most players mention whether they support CDs, CD-RWs, DVDs or DVDRWs or some combination of all those.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  5. I use either on my Philips dvp-642.....both play.

    Put a subtitle file on the disk & it adds that for you automatically.

    There is a firmware update at the manf's site.
