  1. i've searched all over this forum but i can't seem to find ne1 else who has had this problem. i run a dual boot system with win98se and win2k, and i just gor a rage 128 vivo cap card. now i have 2 problems. in win98 it installs fine but when i capture video, in whatever mode, avi/mpg1/mpg2 it will only cap the first 30 secs or so, befor the picture gets stuck. the audio will carry on fine, but i just get the single frame repeated over and over again throughout. win2k is even worse. it says its installed, ive dlded the l8est drivers and everything, but it wont let me change the desktop resolution from 256 colours 640*480, and the video prog wont even start, it just comes up with an error. i've read on the forum of loads of ppl having success with this card, so y can't i? my system is 1ghz athlon, 70gb hdd and 256mb ram. surely this should be enuff for a semi decent capture???? my firewire card runs fine with premiere 6, and tmpeg will encode at nearly 2:1 time, so what am i doin wrong??????

  4. Have you tried checking the ATI web site for newer
drivers? It may be that video capture just isn't supported
    under win2k .

  5. like i sed, i've dlded every driver i can find, even unofficial ones, and nuthing seems to help. but ive read somewhere that netmeeting in win2k can screw up your desktop, and ive found out how to uninstall it (it doesnt appear in add/remove progs in win2k, and the files magically reappear if you try to delete them) so i'm gonna give it a blast when i get home from work. also i found a copy of the wrapper for win98 i know it should be supported by win2k, cos i've heard from other ppl that they've got good results.
