    I use the picvideo mjpeg codec for capture which operates in the YUV colorspace, avisynth's decomb filter also operates in YUV. It is my understanding that VirtualDub operates in RGB. My question is: Is it better for me to use the Lanczos or Lanczos4 filter in avisynth rather than a filter in virtualdub to prevent colorspace conversion and color degradation?
