    I am a newbie so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. I am trying to compress a large mpeg file into one that can fit onto a single dvd, using DVD4 Tool. ( I am a registered user). I am not sure how to convert the mpeg file into a VOB file to use the tool. The Video_TS file has several VOB files but I do not know if those are the ones to use, and if so, how.

    Try to join those big VOBs by following this method and then compress the big VOB.

    I also found a little program called D-Vision with a GUI interface that merged the VOB's automatically. and worked well.
