Hi, I work in an electrical store and we are currently in a bit of a pickle.
We have an LG HD stream generator (for which I dont have the box nor do I have a manual) which we use for demos of the new HD tv's. Problem is that only LG will sell us these boxes and they come with stock standard lg promos already loaded on in TP format. We want to use these boxes on other tv's but we cant run a video with an LG logo on it, on say.... a Toshiba tv. So I come here with a few questions that hopefully someone can answer.
Is there much chance that the stream generator will be able to handle WMV HD format, or h.264 for that matter? Or is it more likely that it will only be able to use TP or TS files?
If the latter is the case, is it possible to convert these video back into their uncompressed TS/TP state? I'd like to use as few conversions as possible, unless it wont affect the quality.
Oh, and the simple solution of using computers to run these demo's is not an option.

Any reference for this "stream generator" ?
Any of your customers or a local kid with a PC HDTV tuner can provide you with OFF AIR MPeg2 TS files.
Commercial display may be a legal issue. Ask a Local TV station for their network demo in MPeg2 TS format and get retail playback permission in writing.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

The HD stream generator is called "HDG-something somethign" I've looked endlessly online to find a manual for it and cant find it. Also, legality is not the issue here.
And I have an HD tuner card in my own computer, but the problem is that in Austrlia HD television is not broadcasted much, and even if it was, it's still very lossy.
I've seen stream generators online that support WMV HD, does anyone know enough about them to know if LG's do it? If not, there HAS to be a way to turn a WMV HD into a ts, right?
I've used projectx before, but it wont read WMV HD, is there a way to convert it into something that projectx will have a look at?
