  1. Man! Never thought that once you upgrade your home electronic you need to update whatever relates to it.
    I update DVD to BD.
So, I update from miniDV to HD (h264 mov) camcorder.
Then, I have to upgrade my pc (X2 2.9ghz 4gb ram) just play and edit.

I also have laptop with dual core 1.8 with 3gb ram, vista home premium that just won't cut it. What is the least requirement to play any H264, specially MOV, smoothly.
VLC, MPC, Quicktime they all jerk or video not sync.

  2. Use a good multithreaded H.264 decoder, like DivX or ffmpeg-mt. MPC-HC should have ffmpeg-mt built in, unless you're using an old version. You may need to configure it to use 2 decoding threads.

Don't use VLC, it sucks for HD H.264.

  3. I do have MPC-HC which came with K-lite Codec pack. I didn't config it tho. Since it's a mov file, why is it choppy with Quicktime?

  4. If 1.8 dual core and 3gb is enough to play HD smooth, could some one help me how to setup the player or configure it?
