    I have a Pioneer DV-636D DVD player and like many out there it cannot play MP3's.

    However, considering that VCD's use MPEG Layer 2 audio, is it possible to use this format.

    At the moment I am taking advantage of the VCD format by Creating Music Video CDs.
    I would also like to create MP2 files and play them independently.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  3. Use scmpx mpeg/audio player & encoder to get an mp2 file from a wav file and for playing the mp2. This is also a great tool to resample a wav 48 khz to wav 44khz (the playing time from both wav's are exactly the same)
