    Hi,
    I converted an avi file to DVD tonight using ffmegx and the resulting output gave me a video_ts folder (as I expected) but also some additional files. One was an mpeg-1 file but only about 20 minutes long of the avi file. The other files are one mpeg2 file with just the movie and the other is an ac3 file with just the sound.

    Im confused why the additional files were created. Are the separate movie and audio files so that I can combine more than one episode on a disc or are they something that I can discard.

    Im new at this so I would be grateful if someone could explain this to me. Many thanks.

    Creating the DVD folder as a four part process:
    1. Encoding the video -> .m2v
    2. Encoding the audio -> .ac3
    3. Multiplexing the video and the audio -> .mpg
    4. Authoring as DVD -> VIDEO_TS folder with bup,ifo,vob files.
