I am wanting to create a video in Adobe Premier that has a ''slide show section" and a "Video Section". The slide show section would be created from digital photographs, and the video from a DV 16X9 video.

Problem is if I select 16X9 project, it zooms in on my photos, and ultimately cuts off some, to make a 16X9 of the photo, instead of showing it in the standard aspect ratio. The older version of Premier I had had a setting to maintain aspect ratios. I don't see that here.

And, of course, if I use standard instead of 16X9, the videos get cut to 4X3 resolution.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to do this?
    Thanks

    Hi ewingr,

I'm not sure what version of Premiere you're using, but in Premiere Pro 1.5:

    Under Project/Project Settings/General...
Tick the box that says: "Scale clips to project dimensions when adding to sequence"

    OR...

For each image got to the Effects Control tab in the Monitor window and change the Scale property in the Fixed Effects/Motion area.

    Cheers,

Thanks. I'll see if this works. I thought I tried that setting, but maybe I didn't.
    Thanks
