why do some of my dvd copies have broken images, somewhat like a bad satellite signal? i've searched several forums and haven't found an answer yet. is it the way i'm copying them, or is it a junk dvd player? using anydvd and clone dvd software, and the burner is I/O magic. help please!

If you compress too much you may get macro blocks.

Also have you tried different blanks????
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

i've tried different blanks, and it does seem that the really cheap ones are worse. i just copied madagascar and left out menus and such, leaving only main movie. it showed 100% on quality, but still messed up once toward the beginning. do you think that its still too large of a movie to compress?

Set your burn speed slower and see if it still screws up.
