I purchased a Plextor PX-TV402U PVR approximately 1 year ago
and have had great success with it, until now.
I have installed the Intervideo WinDVR & DVD Creator
software that was bundled with it, but am using Plextor's GoCap capture software for capturing purposes.
I am having problems with capture file size. I used to
capture in only MPEG4/divx format and could capture as
much video as my hard drive space would allow (I still can
with MPEG4/divx).
Now I wish to capture in MPEG2 format because I am
having better results with it as far as quality to
DVD.
The issue is that I am only able to capture up to
3.96GB in MPEG2 before it starts another capture file
for it...and that capture file has audio, but no
video.
I have checked off all the file size restrictions in
the Intervideo DVR5 & DVD Creator software (even
though I am not using them...the PX-TV402U will not
capture unless I have them installed), but this still
doesn't work.
I am running Windows XP SP2 and my file system is
NTFS...I could understand my file issues if I was
using FAT32 filing, but I am not.
Is there a patch or a fix that can be applied to GoCap
to correct this? Does anyone have any suggestions?
