i have been burning vcds for a good 4 months now and recently upgraded to win xp and now i can no longer convert with the program i used with my former OS (win me), tpgme, and was wondering if it was incompatible.
secondly before upgrading to xp i used nero to burn vcds and now everytime i try to install nero 5 with xp it disables my cd rom drive --has any0ne else had this problem? it is the weirdest thing and i have no idea what might be causing it. can anyone help me out- thanks.

Hmmm, TMPEGENC didn't give me any problems on XP. Or atleast the latest version didn't...
As for Nero, try getting the absolute latest version of it, 5.5.6.4 I believe. That should fix the problem....

I recently installed XP also, and my TMPGenc works just fine with it. I don't know about your Nero problem because I only use VCDEasy for burning my VCD's, and it works fine. (Although I did need to install an ASPI driver to get my VCDEasy to work with XP, but that was no big deal.)
