    Hey all

    I am going to get one of these darn iPod videos, hopefully in a week or so. I wanna know how to encode to it. Do I use Mpeg4 (DivX) codecs to the size it will accept, or do i go for this h264 codec. Where do I get this h264 codec for free?

    I have a PC with XP Pro, 600 Gigs of Hard drive space.

    My main interests are TV show captures with my TvTuner (Leadtek WinFast Xpert 2000) and it would be especially sweet if I can capture directly into required iPod specs.

    Also, MiniDV captures to the iPod would be great.

    I have some experience doing TV and VHS captures, then encoding to DVD spec, and also re-encoding DVD to SVCD using TMPEnc.

    Most of the forums I have been reading are for Macs, so I have no help there.
