    Hello,

I have downloaded the HDTV to MPEG2 Converter to convert my .tps and it converts really well. I burned it to a disc but when I play it in my dvd player... there is no sound. Does that mean I need to alter the audio pid?? it is 0xFFFFFFFF but im in Aussie so does that make a diference??

I couldnt find any help or a home page for the prgrame. I appreciate any help with this issue. Youre welcome to email me heletias@hotmail.com

    Thanks heaps

    Hello heletia,

Tp or ts files when converted to mpeg2 are HDTV resolutions. They have to be encoded to 720x480 (or pal equlivent) to be DVD compliant unless you have a DVD player that accepts mpegs at HDTV resolutions.

Could you explain how you took a HD mpeg2 file and burned it to DVD step by step.

Did the mpeg file made from HDTVtoMPEG2 have audio?

    Regards,

    Chas

    2. i burned the movie from my c drive using nero
    using 'make a video dvd'.

    3. Did the mpeg file made from HDTVtoMPEG2 have audio?

ok Chas ive downloaded that other programme you suggested but ... here's the embarrassing part - i cant find out how to insert/open the file i want to convert?

uh oh - it says that HDTV2DVD programme is for creating dvds from vcd/avi/.ts files but mine are .tp files.

Are there any other converters from hdtv.tp to mpg2?

Im really wishing I didnt get this particular tuner card.

    thanks

ok i thin the problem might actually be in my audio settings ie; line in, microphone, aux... etc...

Now I can record in mpeg but ONLY using the s-video option and not direct from live tv.. and i have no soudn on the playback..

i will go thru all the volume, playback & recording audio settings and see what i can do.

    thanks

hdtv2dvd accepts .ts & .tp files only. Drag the file to the Assets Window at the bottom..... Watch the demo movie on the site for full usage.

    hey chrissy,

ok opened c drive as well as the programme and dragged files and theyre in my assets.

next i dragged one file up and cliked on it but an error message came up
    on one.

yay it played!!--- but do i convert it?? does it do it automatically?? on the top right it now says its an mpeg2.

    Thanks

Now when the file is on my cdrive its a dvico .tp but as soon as i drag it into the coverter and up onto the asset area, it has changed it to a wmp icon and says its an mpeg3.

ok now when i have dragged over a .tp file and playing i get the sound now which i didnt before so thats good.

so does that mean by dragging it into the assets area and playing it, it has actually automatically been converted into an mpeg2?? because thats what it says the file name is on the top right hand side of the page.

how do i get it back into my c drive in this new mpeg2 format - by draggin it back?? or am i totally missing something out here??

    thanks
