I'm not sure what you are actually looking for?

Most laptops have a VGA output for external monitors. You could use a VGA to Composite converter such as this if you don't have composite or S-video out: http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/PC-TV_GTM-2000.html

Or are you looking for a TV tuner that fits in a PCMCIA laptop slot like this: http://www.aver.com/products/tvtuner_avertv_cardbus.shtml

Well, if your plan is to output video from your laptop to a TV, USB or Firewire is not the best method. You would have to convert your video to a acceptable format for USB or Firewire, then the box would have to convert it again to a TV acceptable output. That's a lot of conversions and would likely result in a lot of quality loss. Unless you have some special reason to use USB or Firewire, it's not really a good way to go.

The VGA output that is available on most any laptop is a higher quality signal. The conversion to composite would be fairly easy. If you had S-video out from your laptop, it would be easier still.

The converter I linked is just one. You can do a Google search for 'VGA to composite converters' and get more. These have been around for a while, commonly used for business purposes to show laptop video on a TV. Should be a lot of them out there.
