    hey guy,

I got a problem when i burn divx movies on dvd-r as data. Well when i burn 2 or 3 movies on one dvd-r. It does not seem to be able to read the movies properly. Well the first movie plays properly when i open it through media player but the other movies are not working. Its not able to read it properly or somthin.

Well someone was telling me how the layers on dvd are close togeather and its hard to read each lines or somthin and thats y i cant burn more than one file on a single dvd or somthin along that line.

I was just wondering if that was true or not and if anything can be done about this.

I did this serveral times and i get the same error all then time. The first movie on the disk works but it gives and error when trying to play the others.

    I am currently using RiData 8X DVD-R

    Thanks

  3. you have some crap disc, simple as that. the reason why "the 1st movie works" is that the 1st movie resides within the innermost region of the disc...relatively more reliable.

whatever that someone told you is like the biggest BS i've heard in years...

I've put 4 or 5 Xvid or Divx movies on one DVD and never had any problems playing any of them. I would say bad media also.

And that's funny about the lines on the DVD. DVDs have 'grooves' on them that the laser follows. There's no layers unless you are using a dual layer DVD disc.

Cheap media may have problems near the outer edge of the disc, usually shows up toward the end of the last video. Burning less on the disc might help, but with good DVD media, you can use all the disc without problems.

But try different DVD media. If you still have the same problem, it may be a burner or software issue.
