Trying to recover from a nasty house fire AND a hard drive failure (not related but nearly simultaneous events).
I've been able to get new versions of my DVD helper applications and had the old license codes stored off line except for DVD2OneX which was in version 1.x at the time. The authors are now offering version 2 so they have stopped selling licenses for version 1. I demoed version 2 and it crashed repeated on my G5 Dualie (OS 10.4.3) so I want to go back to version 1. Their records show I bought it over a year ago so they won't warranty my old license or sell me a new code for the old version.
I ended up buying the Toast 7 suite but the built-in compressor does not have the chapter and title selection options that DTOX did.
Any ideas? If I have to live in a motel for Christmas, at least I can make back-ups of my disks...

that sucks MM.
Sorry for your loss, especailly at this time of year.
Do you have ANY access to your old email under the account
you bought DVD2ONEX with? Perhaps it is still stored on
your ISP's email server?
I back up all my important emails
in a folder called "Software", and once a month I back that up
to multi-session CD-R.
That way, if I need to search for an old email w/ serial numbers,
I can do a search across the disc
using BBEdit. Just for Future FYI."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

When I'm not here, Where can I be found?
