I've been looking everywhere for a tutorial on making DVD inserts in photoshop. There really isn't anything on the net on this subject. I looked in the guides on here and still nothing of any detail. I know somebody must be using photoshop for this purpose. Does anyone know of a website, link or anything that deals with this particular subject?

It is better to ask specific question , making dvd insert with Photoshop could be as simple as scanning a picture and resize to your paper and print. if you want to edit picture need to play around with photoshop it has fantastic tools. If you already have the picture it is easier to use programs like stomper label maker, which make resizing and positioning the picture for print very easy. Quality paper makes a big difference.

You are basically asking for a tutorial on how to use Photoshop's basic features in general...and there are thousands of guides on that online.
Just drag and drop pictures into photoshop and then drag and drop them onto your template. For text just use the text tool. Select it and draw a box and then just type. Highlight your text and change the font, color, spacing, etc... You really should just read the manual that came with Photoshop, it explains all of this very well. -
Basically, it's just using multiple layers and placing the images you want onto the layer stackup. Just make sure your images' backgrounds are TRANSPARENT. Once you get what you want, save, then collapse the layers and print.
I created my own template to match my printer's output, which can print "edge-to-edge". IIRC, an insert has a width of about 10.7"ICBM target coordinates:
26° 14' 10.16"N -- 80° 16' 0.91"W -
Just do what i do & go here
& get the original dvd covers no more printing. Much eaiser, no hassel, Original dvd covers.
You are in breach of the forum rules and are being issued with a formal warning.

I use a program called MultiCoverPrint and A4 paper....works every time. I also have a full sized(DVD cover sized) .jpg pic I use to overlay my pics on to the .jpg....the .jpg also includes the fold lines.
If it wasn't so big I'd put it up here for you.
