Howdy,
I'm trying to free up some HD space so I've decided to burn my captured files from my HD to DVD. The captured files play perfectly through WMP from the HD, but after I've burned them to DVD using Nero the playback is choppy in Audio and Video. When importing from the source DVD into VS7 these anomalies come with it. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas why this would happen. I'm just simply burning a Data disc with the AVI file which totals around 4GB. Not sure what to make of it. As we speak I'm copying the file back from the DVD media back to the HD to see if there's just something with the playback from the DVD and see if it will disappear when the file is copied to the HD and played from there. Any info would be appreciated. Thought it would be a simple excersize to get some space back, but obviously not. These are the values I've capturred the origionals with and the play back perfect.
NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
Microsoft AVI files
24 Bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
Field Order A
DV Video Encoder -- type 1
PCM, 48.000 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo
1.7GHz P4
768MG Ram
WinXP Home
etc.
Thanks in Advance,
Max

Just an update on.....After copying the file back from DVD to HD then playing it everything seems to play the same as the origional.....don't know what to make of that, but maybe DVD drive accessing isn't fast enough to play the AVI smoothly.....???
