Where can I find DVD+RW 8x medias?

Hi,

I found that this media was first released more than 1 year ago, but it is still hard to find. I only found 25 pack of them, but I want just a couple of them, 2 or 3 is fine to me.


Someone knows where can I find it? The store needs to ship to Canada.

You might want to try www.media-n-more.ca. They are locatedin Canada and sell sample packs of a few discs.

They work great on my BenQ DW1640, burning at 8X. However, they're a bit funky on my LG GSA-4120B, though DVDInfoPro reports that it can burn at 5x.

I am having problem with these Memorex 8x +RW and my LG GSA-4163B.
Nero refuses to burn them, says:

Formatting disk failed
Illigal disc
Could not perform start of Disc-at-once
Burn process failed at 5x

What's up with that?

I can't say for sure, though I find it interesting that you're having a problem using these discs with an LG drive as well. I've just updated my firmware to A117, but it didn't help. Also, though your drive's specs show it to burn +RW at 8x, Nero shows a failure on your attempt at 5x. I think the problem is that this particular media won't play nice with LG drives. My BenQ has no problem whatsoever with this media, but my LG freezes up when I try to format or write to it.

That's bad. I guess I will have to find another burner to burn +RW disks at 8x because I use a lot of +RWs.
