Ask whoever created the disc whether or not the disc has been finalized.

Just a thought here but, are you sure the drives in your PC's are DVD-ROM's and not just CD-ROM's ?
A friend made some sample dvd-r's with family photo's on them for someone at her work (she works in a hospital office) and this person said her and her husband tried them in several PC's at work, she brought them to me and they worked fine in 5 different DVD drives, so asked her if she was sure they were trying them in dvd-roms and she said that they told her yes because she already asked them.
Well the next day they discovered that all the work PC's only had CD-ROM's in them -

OP: "the dvd will play on dvd players".
Not authored correctly, or not finalized?
Did the original production involve just burning video files to a disc? As in, the producer didn't have a clue how to create a DVD.
Send THEM to this forum and have them read the tutorials. Maybe then, you'll end up with a product that plays.;/ l ,[____], Its a Jeep thing,

true- I've never heard of an authoring/finalization problem meaning that the disc would work in standalones, but not computers. PC drives and file systems are generally much more forgiving for stuff like that.
Well, maybe not unfinalized discs from particular recorders, but they're generally only compatible with that same recorder brand...
Last resort, I guess, could be to get the discs copied by a standalone duplicator, which wouldn't care what file type was on the disc. Would cost a lot more though, I would guess. -
Unless it's not in DVD format and the player will play the video file.
Even then: The computer should see the file on the disc.
jcazel: put the disc in the computer drive, give it a minute; go to the drive; right click, select properties - tell us what you see as in free space, used space.;/ l ,[____], Its a Jeep thing,
