    l have a desktop with p3 733 and a display card of intel 82810E graphic controller 6.5MB. l use windows 98SE, mplayer ver.6, directx 9.0c and ffdshow, but l cant play some high resolution avi.movies smoothly in full screen, some of them even have video slower than sound, so is p3 733 fast enough to play divx/xvid movies? or is it the problem of the display card?

    No. It's border line IMO. OTHO, if it plays smooth in windowed moode, but jerky in full screen, it sounds more like a gfx card problem.
