Hello there.
I'm attempting to integrate spanish subtitles in the 1971 film "Get Carter". I ripped my DVD using Mac The Ripper, and I followed the instructions of ffmpegx to a tee.
When the encoding has finished, I've viewed the resulting movie with Apple's DVD Player. The dialogue sound is missing, but the musical soundtrack remains. I tried encoding the audio as ACC and MP2, to no avail. I tried decoding using Quicktime and Mplayer, to no avail. I tried adjusting the audio frequency from 48000 Hz to 44100 Hz.
Curiously enough, in every instance, the audio works perfectly in the preview, even as the end result does not.
Can this problem be solved, and how?
Thank you very much for your time!
