    Just want to make sure my existing 1.1 apps will handle 2.0 properly. I kinda hate the whole need to install any of these .NET runtimes WHATEVER version they happen to be, but some apps (vegas, etc) require it these days.

    My understanding is that 1.1 will run quite happily on 2.0, however anything written in 2.0, even if it restricts itself to purely 1.1 constructs, will only run on 2.0
