ok...heres what im trying to do.
i have old vhs tapes and want to back them up into dvd9.i also want to edit camcorder tapes of my sons football team...making hightlights and stuff.
what video editing tool should i buy for my computer?
any help appreciated.....thanks.

Regarding getting VHS onto PC - there's a number of ways this can be done, each requiring different hardware and / or software. Head over to lordsmurf's site: www.digitalfaq.com
In short - if you're wanting to edit the VHS tapes once on the PC, capture to AVI. If not, you could go straight to MPEG2 ready for authoring to DVD.There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
