    * What's your budget?
    * Have you used any video editing tools before?
    * If so, which ones?
    * If so, how would you rate yourself - new starter, know the basics, fairly competent, expert?

    Regarding getting VHS onto PC - there's a number of ways this can be done, each requiring different hardware and / or software. Head over to lordsmurf's site: www.digitalfaq.com

    In short - if you're wanting to edit the VHS tapes once on the PC, capture to AVI. If not, you could go straight to MPEG2 ready for authoring to DVD.
    There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

    If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
