Is there any way if increasing the number of simultaneous downloads that one can have at the same time in XP? (i.e. if I right click on a file and chose 'save target as....' I seem to be limited to four files at a time).

I'm pretty sure that's a server limitation, nothing to do with windows. 4 seems to be the standard, I've seen it where you can get only two connections at a time from some sites.

4 is the default in XP.
you can get various programs that let you change this (TweakIE for example) or you can change it in your registry (but I don't know where - I used a tweak program to change mine to 8"To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." - Steven Wright

Damn, I was kind of hoping for an easier fix to the problem (like changing IE settings) but if I have to start playing with the registry and even then be possibly faced with server limitations then maybe four is my max
Thanks for the help guys - knew I could count on youRegards,

I've DL'ed 6 at a time using IE and Firefox. I've never gotten 4 with just IE through RoadRunner.
