This year I would like to avoid the crowds and shop online. I did this a little, for the first time last year. But it made me very nervous. I am a lot les nervous now, about purchasing online. What I would like to know is how would I find the lowest price for the products I want to purchase ? Seems like there are sites that compare the prices and also include tax and shipping for the final cost. What are some of these sites that work best for your needs ? I did find one call price grabber. Are they all pretty much the same ? Just looking for some opinions.

Have you tried something like askjeeves???? There are search engines dedicated to that. I've never used them though. Also there may be specials for low priced shipping or bulk shipping discounts for holiday savings. Every little bit helps. Good luck.

Also try portals like yahoo and aol. I'm sure they have search features. There must be a service like priceline for regular shopping.

Problems with those search places is that they only present the places that pay them to be on their list of merchants. Quite often, these are the more expensive places.

  4. I've shopped online almost from the very beginning and have nad very few problems - no more than from shopping at a store. I usually just do a search on Yahoo for the item I'm looking for and read the various pricing results that come up. The convenience of shopping at home makes up for any other concerns I may have, and I've never had a problem with my CC info being compromised...

^^Second that. I buy all my stuff from Amazon. No taxes and I get free two day shipping. If I really, really want it in my hands by the next day, its just $3.99.
