    I have only ever used DVD Santa to convert from Pal to NTSC. Never had a problem.

    Are you changing a divx file from pal to ntsc so you can burn it on a dvd?

    no I have converted this .avi to vob and I used dvdauthor to make chapters etc and also added another movie to dvdauthor but when i go to output it says i cant mix ntsc and pal

    The way that works for me with the original avis is when you go to change them to vob files use DvixToDVD and select the Force NTSC feature. I haven't noticed any probelms when burned onto DVD. works nicely and keeps the audio synced.
