  1. can that play on a dvd player that supports divx? and i want to use autogk but in the advanced options it says divx or xvid but not wat ver. of divx. and it says avi or divx. Divx can be a file itself?

You are in breach of the forum rules and are being issued with a formal warning. PLEASE USE BETTER SUBJECTS!!!! "DivX6" and "Can you" doesn't say anything.

  2. Divx6 is the same as Divx5 as far as the video encoding is concerned. It evey uses the same fourcc code to identify the codec. So any player that supports Divx5 should be able to play Divx6.

  4. As far as I know, only Divx's Create software supports menus and chapters at this time.

Good luck finding a set-top player that supports those features...

If you have a hi-def source. Many Divx/DVD players can't play hi-def files. The Philips DVP-642 for example.

No reason why it should if you just create the xml menu and remux with fuse. If you use something else then maybe it will want to re-encode.

    DVD's are 480i/p or 576i/p only. HiDef would be 720P or 1080i.

Divx Converter can do menus, but AFAIK no settop dvd player supports them yet.
    If in doubt, Google it.
