I am trying to convert an .avi file to a dvd and I have tried the dvd-ffmpeg format, but I cannot get any audio. The movie copied fine into the VIDEO_TS folder and nothing is in the audio, but there shouldn't be anything in there as I have read, but there should be audio on the DVD right? I followed the How-To guide and everything! I drag the file and drop it and it says...
From: AVI
Video: mpeg 4, yuv420p, 512x272
Audio: mp3, 44100HZ, stereo, 32 kb/s
To: DVD
Video: ffmpeg mpeg 2, 720x480, 4000 kbps, 23.976 fps, no crop
Audio: ac3, 48000 Hz, 448 kbps, normalize
Those are the details of it all, so if someone can tell me what I am doing wrong or tell me what to do to get audio on it please. Thank you

I'm having the same problem. I've tried changing the audio track from 0 to 1 still no audio. It played perfectly with VLC before the encoding.

I tried the "Invert mapping" and still I get a DVD movie which plays fine and there is sound but it's not the same sound from the movie, it sounds like a screechy noise or scratching noise. What is the problem? I must be doing something wrong if everyone else is doing it with success! Please help me if anyone can! Thank You.

If you still have the AC3 file, play it in VLC. Is the sound okay then?
