In thumbnail view type of a window with AVI files, a preview is given of each movie. Usually it's the black screen (frame 1). How can you choose different a frame that more aptly portrays the movie?

I don't believe you can. At least viewing them with Windows Explorer. Why not just trim out the black frame(s)?

This "feature" is very prone to problems, as Windows struggles with AVIs it really can't cope with, locking the AVI, & c. Seems like most around here disable this completely.
