    OK all of a sudden my DVD player wont let me select anything from the DVD menus (ie selecting a specific episode) and i cant see a cursor on the screen?

    Anyone else ever had this problem, its bizarre and has only started a few days ago?????

    With burned discs or commercial DVDs? If it's on commercial DVDs, about all I can suggest is to unplug it for a 1/2 hour and hope it resets. Other than than, a cleaning might help, but that doesn't sound like it would do any good. Worst case, it may be an internal failure of the hardware and require replacement.
