dvd recorders set up problem

strange one I have two dvd burners . lg multi gsa 4163 b & MSI Dr16f
working in a NF7 board under xp service 2

They both wont run a dvd movie from direct load.
under nero 7 thay both will only burn at 8x or 4X will not show any other speeds on dvd .

what can i do to correct this .
both are running as master and slave on the cable

Have tried the restin property and even removed them and reinstalled

Try disconnecting one of the drives. My DVD burner is on its own IDE channel.

FWIW on the same PC, I have a Lite On DVD-Rom (master on ide channel with another CD-rom as a slave) that won't autoplay a DVD movie if any other application is open.
