I have one analog and one digital capture card, the digital one is a TwinhanDTV Ter-CI DVB-T PCI
I'm not sure what kind my analog one is, but the problem here is the digital one.
The analog works fine, I use Star Media Center in order to stream live TV to my network.
But I want to do this with my Twinhan Digital too, ( for better quality. ) but I can't seem to get it to work.
Star Media Center requires WDM drivers in order to work, and as far as I know the default drivers for Twinhan are WDM if I'm not mistaken.
I've been searching around google and not being able to find any other WDM drivers.
When selecting my capture device in Star Media Center I only got conexant capture ( my analog source. ) and the logitech webcam.
The twinhan is nowhere to be found.
Although I can use ProgDVB in order to watch DTV without any problems, there is nothing wrong with the card, probably just the drivers.
I am unable to get it to work in Star Media Center or any other streaming application such as Windows Media Encoder.
( But Star Media Center is my favorite. )
Any ideas what to do, if there is anything to do in order to get my Twinhan working with streaming?

No answer?
I haven't seen an application for streaming to support digital cards, only analog.
Does it not exist?//Burbruee -
Sorry, I would have replied earlier, but I couldn't find the web site.
I use a program called "WebScheduler," It is fantastic, it can record programs and this particular version can stream them over a network, all from a web interface, so you can change channels over the network from a different computer.
http://mediapix-australia.com/htpc/Webscheduler-BDA-TH/
You want to install the latest version.
This was originaly designed to allow people to watch what they were recording with WebScheduler, so keep that in mind.
Here is a guide on how to play digital tv over a network:
You will need the latest version of VLC
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
---
Setting up Webscheduler
Install Webscheduler.
Next step is to configure W/S itself, you can do this by the web interface or edit server.prop
I prefer to edit via the web interface (less chance of fustrating problems caused by typos)
So from the Web interface (http://<YOUR WS SERVER IP>:8080)
Go System Setup .. Server Config ..
Enter the following
Dsnip1.stream: 224.0.0.1
Dsnnic1.stream: <YOUR WS SERVER IP>
Dsnport1.stream: 1234
Optional (but recommended for VLC)
Viewing.deftype: 2 (for DSNetwork TS it's 3 but VLC has issues with this option at the time of writing)
NOTE: This will mean the default viewing is DSnetwork Full for each schedule that you setup. This may affect your network preformance during recording
Press [update] and W/S should now be setup
--
Setting up / using VLC
Make sure your have version 8 of VLC
To capture the network stream all you need to do is ..
File >> Open Network Stream
Select UDP/RTP Muiltcast .. Address: 224.0.0.1 Port: 1234
Then press [OK]
VLC should sit there with udp://@224.0.0.1 in the status bar waiting for a stream. (or if you have a schedule running it should come to life)
--
Starting a Stream
NOTE: if you have your Capture.deftype to anything other than 6 it will also record the stream on your w/s box.
This can be done 2 ways
1. Using the keyboard only interface.
Just browse to the program guide.. select the program and hit enter ..
If Viewing.deftype set to 2 in a few seconds and VLC will come to life if everything is setup properly.
2. Using the mouse interface.
Just browse to the EPG .. press the [+] to add the schedule
If Viewing.deftype set to 2 in a few seconds and VLC will come to life if everything is setup properly. Now if your Viewing.deftype is something else you can go back to the schedule edit it to be DSNetwork Full then press (submit)
It might take you a wile to get it set up, but it is worth it.
Please also note, if your network if fast enough, you can use GraphEdit to play the hdtv stream, and use any filter you want. -
Excellent!
Thank you very much for tipping me about the program, it looks to be very good.
I've gotten as far as to installing WS and VLC, installing BDA-drivers for my twinhan else it did not detect my card.
Setting up WS ( This took some time. )
Scanning for channels went just fine.
I put what you say in the server config.
Dsnip1.stream: 224.0.0.1
Dsnnic1.stream: <YOUR WS SERVER IP>
Dsnport1.stream: 1234
Viewing.deftype: 2
I go to the scheduler. ( EPG is not working at the moment. )
Maybe you could help me to get that set up?
If I browse the EPG it's just blank..
I need to set up xmltv, right?
Moving on.. I use the scheduler..
I put up a schedule for recording right now and for the next few minutes.
VLC.
File > Open Network Stream.
UDP/RTP/Multicast > 224.0.0.1, port: 1234
Push the OK button.
_Nothing_ happends.
But the stream is recording to my harddrive, I can find it among the captured files in WS directory.
But I can't get VLC to conenct.
File > Open Network Stream.
Oh, and one more thing.
Can this be used to record digital subtitles?
Some programs on some channels air those.
Do you know what I mean?
EDIT: Got the EPG working half.. There's a whole lot of blanks.
Apperantly, no channel is airing between 13.00 and 01.00 ..
EDIT: Solved that problem with help from o2grabber.. Amazing program to grab xmltv with.//Burbruee
