  1. Hello all,

I have recently bought a satellite receiver which records all streams as .ts file, but I have found out that due to the receiver not writing the PAT/PMT the files are unplayable on any media player/video editor. The files are saved as .ids/.rap/.ts set (The receiver is an Octagon SF1008SE+)
Here are two example .ts files:
    https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B51yGp5IUb11QVN5U2E0SExQNVU
    https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B51yGp5IUb11QjB3VnJrdjZRbEk

Now my question is: Is there any way to fix the PAT/PMT? I know the VPID and APID's by looking at the satellite listings, so if there is a way to manually creat them I could set it myself.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Edit: I have tried TSPE, TSRemux, and TSDoctor, but none of them will open the files unfortunately...

  3. That's unfortunate...I know the VPID and APID (and others) myself, but I don't have enough knowledge to know if its possible to do something with them

What are the PIDs? I'm not finding anything in there. Is it perhaps scrambled?

  5. For "DÜNYAYA YUKARIDAN BAKIŞ.ts" the info is as follows:
    2432 H264 1080i video
    3434 Audio AC3
    3435 Audio Mpeg2

    For SHOW TV HD.ts:
    2434 H264 1080i
    3438 Mpeg2 Audio

    Hex or decimal?

  7. Oh right, I'm sorry. It's in decimal.

    Must be scrambled!

  9. According to the manufacturer it shouldn't be, but thank you for taking your time and looking at the files. I guess there is nothing to do

Hey don't give up so easily!

Where did you see that statement from the manufacturer? Is there a link or some spec?

  11. I don't know if this means anything but projectx says there is a bunch of scrambed data

  12. It is advertised in the manual of the receiver, which is not available online. Or any other info for that matter. The official site only has firmware updates and nothing else.
I have had contact with the manufacturer (Octagon Germany), and they told me to use TSDoctor (Which didn't work anyway). I will contact them again tomorrow stating the recordings are scrambled and ask leave it to them to solve it

Buy another receiver if you want such records unscrambled ...

I'd recommend CT9x aka Xtrend or VU+. You have no other option.
