Haven't run into this situation with previous versions of SVCD2DVD (currently using 2.0.2117.24512), of course I may not have had assets of mixed aspect ratios, either...

My current project has two assets: one 4:3 source (512x384) and one 16:9 source (624x352). Both files are XVID and both are NTSC (film) at 23.976 FPS.

It seems that no matter what settings I use, the resulting DVD turns out full screen (4:3) ... no problem for the 4:3 source, but the 16:9 source also is rendered in 4:3 (vertically stretched).

What SVCD2DVD settings should be used so the 4:3 title set comes out 4:3 and that the 16:9 title set comes out 16:9?

I am creating a (silent) menu, not a QUICK DVD ...

Please do not hesitate to request any information I have failed to provide.

    Thanks for your help!

Are they in seperate VTSs? What is the duration of each asset? During the encoding what bitrate is being used?

ok. can you send me a sample of the 624*352 avi? (use the makesample tool in the tools folder) Say 5MB? Can you email that along with your existing log file too and I'll take a deeper look.

    ChrissyBoy,

Looks like it might have been a PEBKAC error, not an SVCD2DVD error!

If I think that I see this happening again, I'll check further before posting an error report!

Thanks again for your help, and your excellent application!
