  1. The original video has a framerate of about 23fps. Its tv shows I download from torrentspy.com. I want to watch them on my PSP so I use PSP Video 9 to convert them to mp4. When I do that, the video is fine when I put the settings on about 29 fps. But since the original video is 23fps, I'd think it'd make sense to put the settings on 23fps. Doesn't work that way I guess, because the video ends up being out of sync with the audio.

I know how to convert it correctly and everything but I'm just wondering why is it like that? If the original video is 23 fps then how come it only plays right if I put the conversion settings to 29fps and not 23 fps?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the PSP only supports certain framerates.

  3. I haven't had this problem before. I've encoded at 23.976fps and had it play back perfectly. i dont recall what encoder i used.
also note that i do not own a PSP. i was converting it and watching it on my friends PSP system.

I recommend RaPiZ PSP Video Converter. it has more options than PSP Video 9........
