  1. I've never used the Reauthoring option w/ DVD Shrink...& I'm about to.
I've dragged the movie...only... over to the left pane & said 'bye-bye' to the extras..& the menus.
Now..I'm assuming, w/ the menus gone..& the 'Play" option with them, that the movie will automatically kick in upon insertion of the DVD.
    Right?

Make sure you also remove any unwanted audio tracks.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

  4. Much thanks to you both.........yes..I'm leaving 1 audio track...& I've managed to get the movie up to 75%....which isn't too bad for a watchable backup.
    Thanks.

  5. In re-author mode, you can also trim the front and back of the dvd to get rid of too much intro or long credits. I've had some moview with as much as 9 minutes of credits at the end. Makes a big difference in the percentage you keep when you re-encode. Also pick analysis (or deep analysis? can't remember what its called) if you re-encode. Its like 2 pass vbr. It analyzes to see where to allocate bitrate. I've done many tests to compare to dvd re-builder, using cce to re-encode, and despite what alot of people think, my screen caps using shrink, look better. I will admit that I will not shrink below 85-90 percent, so rebuilder may be better on dvds with more drastic shrinking needed.
