fps for internet

I've noticed video shot at 29.97fps & set to 60fps works good for high-action internet displays of .wmv's
Now, I've got some european 25fps...should I double this for high-action internet to 50fps for .wmv's?

PS - I think I can go as high as 70fps in the .wmv format....How would this be used?

See...what I'm asking is...is the hi-action setting for 29.97fps doubled to 60fps the same as 25fps doubled to 50fps all in the wmv format and should it be technically done?
Or is this a "try 'em all" crapshoot?

Why are you doubling the framerate? Is the source material interlaced? If it's not interlaced, then doubling the framerate will achieve nothing but lower compression quality or higher filesize

I personally can't think of a use for 70fps material.

will the NTSC (29.97fps) and PAL (25fps) material be encoded into the same video?

Why? Because I read (here I think) that if you have hi-action scene, you should use 60 fps with wmv. I tried at 29.97 fps and the scene came out choppy. I increased it to 60 fps and it came out smoother. This was with my interlaced stuff.

Now, the 25 fps stuff I'm working with I found on the internet. I think it's a quicktime file. I just wondered if I should double it like my interlaced stuff....but gathering from your answer, I guess it won't make any difference because it's not interlaced.

I would like to feature both 25fps progressive and 29.97fps interlaced in the same online video in the wmv format.
