I really wonder why this is happening.
If I play some mediafile on my PC, accompanied by it's .SRT subtitle file, the subtitles are so nicely rendered.
BUT, when I convert the media files to a DVD format to play on my standalone, the subtitles look real ugly.
I've tried DVD Author and ConvertXtoDVD, and both have some really ugly fonts drawn on my TV.![]()

if using ConvertXtoDVD just go into the settings and select the font and effects you want
