    From a recent article:
An Oregon woman whose doctor convinced her that he could cure her lower back pain by having sex with her is suing him and his medical clinic for $4 million, according to legal documents obtained on Monday.
    Here's the article on that:

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20051004/od_nm/doctor_sex_dc

And today on my local news, another women came forward saying that the same doctor was treating her for migraines. He gave her a shot that put her to sleep. And, when she woke up at a later time, no one else was in the office except the doctor ... who was still "straightening up" his clothes.

Frankly, I have nothing but support for this new lady. But (sigh) as politically incorrect as it may sound, any woman who allows a doctor to convince her that having sex with him would cure her back pain has to be a few slices short of a loaf in the brain department.

The placebo effect is well documented phenomenon - what's important is whether her back is any better.

A stupid amount for an obviously stupid person - how long do you think it will take for her to be conned out of it?

Yeah, but maybe that woman was "not all there". If she were in any way mentally handicapped, it makes this doctor even more odious, IMO.

Probably not. But $4,000,000 will pay for a lot of orthopedic visits.

If she had mental problems and the doctor knew, this is a separate charge unto itself.

I don't think she had "mental" problems. Sounds more like intellectual problems. Haven't seen a photo of the woman (name, Susan Beach). But, these sex treatments were ongoing over a seven-month period. My guess is that she's blonde.
