  1. Hey,
So I extracted some PVR files from my HUMAX 3000HD box and they're in TS format, I can't get them to play on vlc or mpc or mpc-hc or open with aunsoft or projectx or HDTVtoMPG or Mpg2Cut2. Mediainfo says that they're no audio stream or video stream. TS doctor says that there's no PID and it halts me a bunch of times and asks me if i want to continue. It's about 4GB worth in video and the HD box can play it fine. I need help just playing back the video. Thanks

  4. you can upload files <30MB directly to this site, or you can use a free file hosting site e.g. mediafire.com, sendspace.com if >30MB

It would have been quicker and easier to display a MediaInfo log of the file to give full details of the file. Try ProjectX to demux it into elemental streams. Also the model number of the set top box or PVR etc should be included in your query = the more information provided helps in analysing the problem.

I checked the file extract in both MediaInfo and ProjectX and nothing shows - is the extract from the absolute start of the file? or have you already edited the beginning? if so the header information is missing. If you have the unedited file directly off the Humax run it through MediaInfo for the log file and try demuxing it in ProjectX or MPEGstreamclip.

Could the file be encoded? This depends on the country you are in and local conditions - for example in Australia no encoding or electronic restrictions is placed on copying off-air files from PVR's etc to PC's in other countries there are, so geographical location can also give a clue.

  6. That wasn't the absolute begining of the stream. But i've tried both those programs on the 0.TS file and it does the same thing like what you've seen. I've got 2 other files in the root directory. These TS files are in the /streams directory. l attached the other 2 files to this message but the .bin file had to be rar'ed to be attached. My region is Dubai, UAE. The model# of the set top box is a HUMAX VM-HD3000.

  7. MPEGstreamclip says that there's no video or audio tracks on the file.

TS doctor says that there are 3 PID's but theres no PMT. It says that it's invalid or missing.
