hard to trick it with something you don't have...?
Let's instead look at your iDVD project:
You say you have 3 .avi files of 360MB each.
3 x 360 is only 1.1GB. But, and here is where
we are missing it, is the TIME length of each .avi.
If each .avi is say 44 mins a piece, with accompying
audio, then you have 3 x 44 = 132 minutes of video,
or 2 hours, 20 minutes of video.
Add in the fact that last time I looked ( iDVD 3, long
time ago, hadn't missed it since moving to DVDSP3)
iDVD still did PCM audio. So not only are you exceeding
your target disc size in Best Quality mode( 2 hours) but
you also have high audio, which eats up a LOT of space
as well.
Now don't forget, I don't even know how much/or what kind
of transitions/buttons/background menu video you got
in this thing, but the more you have, with this amount of
video/audio, you only have one or two choices:
(a) Simplifiy your menus
or
(b) go for the higher compression setting (not better Quality)
to get the .avis to fit to disc.
As for Toast:
I know how to change the background in Toast 6, but not
Toast 7. STF, someone ( maybe Frobozz or MacUser25)
posted something about this a while back.... 8) -
thank you very much terryj, that is the kind of answer that i needed; an idiot proof answer, with all the possibles mistakes.
Now I get it, time is a problem too. I may sound obvious for the rest but not for me untill now.
Thanks again terryj for your explanation an for taking the time to assist a tool like me.
Cheers,
