I use to back up my DVD´s with DVDShrink (reauthor-mode), but I cannot force DVDShrink to show any subpictures. My settings are ok, I think. Default streams is set to "display the following subpricture stream" and under "Settings" I use "Subpicture: all or (my language)". This happens if I rip with DVDShrik, Smartripper or DVDdecrypter. I am quite sure that both Smartripper and DVDdecrypter actually rip the subpicture streams but it seams that DVDShrink cannot work with them - it should be quite easy just check or uncheck each subpicture stream, but it does not work. So I have to back-up the whole disk every time which of cause gives less quality. So what is wrong?

If you are using V 3.2 in properties make sure you DO NOT have the 1st box ticked. It says :

Hide audio and subpicture streams of insignificant size.

I can see every language subtitle track and any DVD I put in. If I have it ticked I only see streams of a certain size and higher.

That may or may not be your problem. It is all I can think up at the moment
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

In order to see the subs after you re-author....you need to activate the subs via your DVD Player. You can only choose a default language(audio) that will play every time when you pop it into your DVD Player.
The subs are still there on the DVD if you left them there....now it is up to your player to turn them on. Some can't do that though....for others it is burried in the player's menu....for mine it is a press of one button....there are no guarantees.

Thank you for your reply. I had not activated subpictures on my DVD-player - now it works with only one button on the remote. Strangely, I have never had to do this before.
