I hope I haven't missed a post already covering this, but I can't seem to find this particular error. I'm getting and error of type one when I try to install mpeg2enc, mencoder, and mplayer components from the self-intaller screen. I tried to locate to library/appliction support/ ffmepgx and even created a folder for it, but when I try to locate that folder, the folder does not highlight as save to location option. I tried to save straight to ffmpeg application, but then get "error of type one". Any help for me? I'm using Mac OSX 10.3.9. Thanks for any pointers.

You would be better off posting this in the Mac Forum, you would get more replies. A mod can move it.

error type -1 occurring,
relates to a finder error,
in this case since the target folder is
"greyed out" and "unselectable",
it points to a permissions error.
You must type in an Administrator's password
to install the ffmpegx libraries; that is where
you are getting your type -1 error from."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

When I'm not here, Where can I be found?

I am the administrator and if I use my password @ the spot where the self installer says "enter here your MacOSX login password", it should work, yes?
